Haga Mi Vida - Doing My Life

I'm 24, a linguist-in-training, a Beatles lover, an Eddie Izzard adorer, a Top Gear obsessive, and oftentimes a pedant. I sing the praises of Helly Hansen, Vibram Five Fingers, and VIVOBAREFOOT.

I am 5 feet, 1.5 inches.
SW: 211 lbs.
GW: 100-115 lbs.
CW: 172.2 lbs.

I am vegetarian with vegan tendencies.

I am an atheist and anti-theist (I am not usually militant about it, though).

I am gay.

I am more humanist than merely feminist.

Let's see how I decide to Do Life, anyway.

Profile on a high school wrestler here in Arkansas:

Jesse Johnson has seen more adversity in his 17 years than many of us will face in a lifetime. The Russellville junior has overcome physical disabilities to become one of the better 103-pound wrestlers in the state. Johnson, missing three limbs, is the No. 3 seed in the State Meet, which begins today and owns a 22-3 [record]. He only lost two matches last season.
An American family adopted Jesse from Russia when he was a toddler. He was born with a physical challenge that would make most people assume that sports would never be a viable avenue to pursue.
He wrestles without the advantage of two legs and with only one arm. The word adversity does not even begin to describe the challenges he faces every day, let alone on the mat.

What’s your excuse for not being active today?

I don’t need to add anything, this story says it all.
