Haga Mi Vida - Doing My Life

I'm 24, a linguist-in-training, a Beatles lover, an Eddie Izzard adorer, a Top Gear obsessive, and oftentimes a pedant. I sing the praises of Helly Hansen, Vibram Five Fingers, and VIVOBAREFOOT.

I am 5 feet, 1.5 inches.
SW: 211 lbs.
GW: 100-115 lbs.
CW: 172.2 lbs.

I am vegetarian with vegan tendencies.

I am an atheist and anti-theist (I am not usually militant about it, though).

I am gay.

I am more humanist than merely feminist.

Let's see how I decide to Do Life, anyway.

American Eagle size 12 short jeans. Tightish and I have the inevitable fat spillage on top, but I imagine I always will. And I can freaking button these no problem.
So AE 12 and other brands 14. I am liking this.

Look a bit weird but this is a new favourite shirt - an American Eagle men’s medium, too.

NSV - bought this a year or two ago and it was TIGHT. Now it is properly loose!

Frizzy hair, lopsided face, and too much sun, but not bad.

I hope it’s not cultural appropriation that I really like falafel.

How do you crazies run in the heat? After 6 minutes I called it quits and walked for another 15.

ATTENTION: KATRINA :-)
Phase 2 of ? in grown up job hunt has commenced. Phase 2.1 of ? Should be completed by this time next week.

Also, I am finding American Eagle size 14 jeans a bit too loose. They fit, yes, but I will soon need a belt, and that’s what I want to avoid. Found my old size 10’s (that I can’t get past my rear end) and some men’s jeans I bought (36x30’s) that fit other than being way too long. Still, I remember when I grew too big for the men’s jeans, too, so I am pleased, overall. That pair of 10’s are my absolute favourite, though, so I am determined. I even carted them all the way to Spain and back in 2008 and to D.C. Pride in 2009. They were tight, then, but I fit them. My weight has gone up slightly this week, still around 172-173ish, but my running has improved so no complaints there, overall.

I am going downhill, again, and fast, so I am re-instating Three Good Things.

1. I get my new jeans today, bringing my total up to two that fit. The rest are too big (US 16 and 18 if anyone is interested) or too small from before I gained a ton.

2. I ordered “James May” shirts from American Eagle for super cheap and free shipping.

3. I … Er, struggling a bit on this one. I drive to the store and had to go on the big, main road for all of about 20 seconds, total. I was 1AM, so it was pretty empty, but I was freaking out. I did it because I had to - the usual entrance was blocked.

Today is a rest day, but since I did that yesterday, I will either run a minimum of 2, maximum of 3 today. Doing walking and strength tomorrow. No strength today - I want to make sure I have recovered.

I increased my calories on MFP to account for half training, and hoping this takes care of the weakness I felt yesterday.

Half marathon day four

3 miles later today for my half marathon training. Do not want. At all. I don’t hurt or anything, I just get horrendously inpatient. Maybe I will do it this evening when traffic might be low… Or just do the hospital loop several times and avoid traffic all-together.

Starting to see the mental side of this running thing.

Edit 6:36 a.m. EST:
If it happens today, it will be this evening/tonight. I feel like I have been run over by a truck. I have an hour left of work before I can go home. I am close to tears. No idea what the hell is going on, though a migraine seems to be coming on, too. Boo. Hiss. Pssssst!
